A number of shareholders in PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), Indonesia's largest thermal coal exporter, has agreed to sell an aggregate of 800.33 million shares in BUMI.
In an official statement published tonight, the shares are representing 3.9% of the issued ordinary share capital of Bumi Resources.
The shares will be swapped with 13.88 million of Bumi Plc's voting ordinary shares, so-called step-up transactions. These transactions are expected to close on or around 5 July 2011. In return, Bumi Plc's shareholding in Bumi Resources will be increased to approximately 28.9% from 25%.
As a result of the issue of Bumi Plc voting ordinary shares to the selling Bumi Resources shareholders, 5,95 million Bumi suspended voting ordinary shares, issued to the Bakrie Group on the closing of the transaction, will convert into Bumi voting ordinary shares on a one-for-one basis.

Taiwan Shares Cut at Morgan Stanley; Indonesia Rating Raised

June 28 (Bloomberg) -- Taiwanese stocks were cut to “underweight” from “equal-weight,” while shares of Indonesia and the Philippines had their ratings raised at Morgan Stanley.
The brokerage lowered its rating on Taiwan within its global emerging-market model, citing a “dramatic fall” in the market’s earnings revisions breadth, analysts led by Jonathan Garner wrote in a report today. They raised Indonesia and the Philippines to “equal-weight” from “underweight,” while cutting Colombia to “underweight” from “equalweight,”according to the report.

Wall Street ditutup menguat rata2 +1% dlm perdagangan Senin dipimpin saham Sektor Keuangan, dgn Indeks Dow menguat +109 poin setelah 3 hari turun, menjelang pengambilan keputusan penting mengenai penerapan kebijakan keaikan pajak dan pemotongan anggaran Yunani dan setelah regulator perbankan mengumumkan aturan permodalan yg lebih ringan hanya 2.5% dari sebelumnya 3% dimana itu artinya tersedia lebih banyak dana utk dividen dan Buy Back saham, ditengah data Pendapatan Konsumen bln Mei naik +0.3% & Belanja Konsumen bln May tidak banyak berubah pertama kali hampir selama 1 tahun ini dgn Tingkat Tabungan naik mjd USD 591.1 miliar (YoY) dibandingkan USD 568 miliar di bln April, sementara Indeks Manufacturing Negara Bagian Midwest bln Mei sedikit mengalami kenaikan.
